Sir Terry Frost

Terry Frost was one of Britain’s leading abstract painters. Frost lived and worked in Newlyn, Cornwall, where the colours and textures of the natural environment of the area provided a rich source of inspiration for much of his work. His earlier work was very structural, composed of chevrons, discs, crescents, arrowheads, lozenges, triangles, spirals and horizontal shafts, but in later work colour began to dominate, creating tension and movement in his paintings. Terry Frost was elected Royal Academician 1992 and received a knighthood in 1998.

Simon Moore

Simon Moore is a wonderful craftsman in glass and ceramics. His work is visually exciting, often full of bold colour and organic shapes, and yet it can also be understated, highly functional and of great grace and beauty. His superbly crafted household objects – gravy boats, light fittings, mirrors, crockery - can’t fail to become a centrepiece in the home or on the dinner table.
